The installation of the PKI Actalis technological infrastructure allows the client organization to issue its own qualified digital signature certificates independently. With this solution, it's possible to manage separately the certification infrastructure level (handled by Actalis) and the level of the certificates issued by it (managed directly by the client).
The use of private certificates can enhance security when accessing corporate web services. In this context, the PKI provided by Actalis is responsible for issuing private certificates, allowing the use of the service exclusively to users who have been granted the necessary permissions according to company policies. Another example is the issuance of private SSL certificates to enable HTTPS access to internal websites.
The PKI infrastructure can allow the centralization of the use of various types of Actalis certificates that the company uses.
