An SSL EV (Extended Validation) certificate, besides involving verifications on the domain holder and domain company owner, also includes more advanced checks, ensuring for example, that the application is made by a person authorized to reppresent the organization. With an EV single domain certificate it is possible to verify the single domain, and with SAN types up to 5 FQDN domains can be verified.
Checks on the domain: we verify that the subject requesting the certificate contols the server that responds to the domain in question.
Checks on the organization: we verify that the organization exists and that the subject requesting the certificate is part of the organization
Checks on the signatory: we verify that the subject requesting the certificate, has reppresentative powers within the organization.
